Why a Vincent Craftsman board?

Quality

Vincent Craftsman boards are made to last by a skilled woodworker using the highest quality hardwoods. With the exception of rare exotic woods used as decorative accents, my boards are made from hardwoods sourced from small, Indiana mills. These mills take pride in offering unique examples of our native trees. Lumber is sustainably harvested (often one tree at a time by request of homeowners), properly aged, and kiln dried for great stability. Boards are crafted with great care, down to a near glass finish. Finally, they are protected by top quality ingredients (local food grade mineral oil and beeswax).

Beauty

My boards are each handcrafted, ensuring a unique look you will be proud to display for years. Quality hardwoods such as walnut, cherry, and maple can be blended with exotics like purpleheart or yellowheart. These boards feature bold colors, natural details, and distinctive styling.

Value

Is better to replace something every couple of years, or love something for a generation? Hardwood boards resist slicing or gouging that can trap bacteria. They are gentle on knives, protecting and maintaining sharp cutting edges. They can be protected for lasting beauty with safe, inexpensive products. Finally, they can be refinished again and again if necessary, adding even more years to their useful life.
